Events Coming up

Scarecrow Trail

This Autumn we have an exciting new event coming up which we’d love the community to get involved with. Our first Scarecrow Festival will run between Sunday 17th October – Sunday 1st November. We are inviting entries are welcome from individuals, families, neighbours, local groups, schools, clubs, organisations, and businesses. The trail is designed to be a fun, family-friendly event that brings the community together.

You will shortly be able to pick up or download an application form. In the meantime why not get your creative caps on and have a think about where you could put a scarecrow, what it might look like and what it’s name would be!

Regular Study Groups

Alpha

Our 2nd Alpha Course has now finished, but if you would like to know more or be interested in taking part in a future course do get in touch with Rev. Danielle Pearson-Smith. It is a in person course, which is run over 11 weeks and provides a safe space, where anyone can bring along people friends for a conversation about faith, life and God. It is open to anyone who may be curious and wish to explore Christianity and faith further. It is a place to learn and ask questions.

You are welcome to attend any of our services, activities or weekly Lectio or seasonal study courses across the year to find out more and if you’re looking to grow your faith too.

Those who took part in 2025 found it very helpful and interesting and have gone on to attend a further course – The Bible Study Course introduces the bible story over several weeks in an accessible and engaging way through short films, group discussion and exploring the core parts of the bible from start to finish.

Alpha Youth

At the end of 2025 we held our first Alpha Youth Couse and welcomed a group of young people who explored life’s real questions. It was an opportunity for young people to come together over 8 weeks exploring life’s real questions – made for youth by youth.

They were able to talk openly about the things which matter to them, ask questions about life, faith and more. For some they chose to just listen; with no pressure to say talk if they didn’t want too.

Following on from this in January 2026 we launched our ‘Way Makers’ Youth Group on a Sunday evening 4-6pm. Anyone aged 10-17 can come along. You can find out more on our Children and youth page.
